MDS 3.0 Development
Development planning is already occurring to ensure MDS 3.0 functionality is available for all our customers who use Matrix, On-Line Advantage, PathLinks, QuickCare, ULTRACare, GENECARE, and DataCare. CMS released draft MDS 3.0 specifications in late October, warning that these are subject to change, and should be finalized approximately March 1, 2009. You can obtain a copy of the current draft MDS 3.0 specifications at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/NursingHomeQualityInits/25_NHQIMDS30.asp.

The upcoming MDS 3.0 regulatory requirement is one of the most significant changes that our industry will ever experience. You can be assured that ALL MDI Achieve clients will have an available solution to accommodate this change by the current October 1, 2009 implementation date. No matter which MDI Achieve product you use, you will have the full support of all MDI Achieve employees. We understand the impact of this change to all our customers and how it affects your overall business processes.

In addition to development planning, MDI Achieve is actively working on deployment, implementation, and training projects based on the information and timeline currently available from CMS. We will communicate that plan to you once final specifications have been released and analyzed. Please stay tuned to www.mdiachieve.com for updated information on MDS 3.0. Thank you for your continued support of MDI Achieve products. If you have any questions about this change, please feel free to contact any MDI Achieve representative.

Live Meeting Upgrade
MDI Achieve uses Microsoft Live Meeting 2007 for our Web conferencing. For easier participation in the various webinars we offer, please ensure that you are running the latest live meeting software by clicking Start, then All Programs, and then looking in the program list for Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007. If this program appears in the list, the meeting client is installed. If the program does not appear, download and install the Windows-based Microsoft Office Live Meeting 2007 client prior to attending one of our online meetings. To download Live Meeting, please visit our website at http://www.mdiachieve.com/livemeeting/ and follow the instructions.

Note: To complete this installation, you must have rights to install software on your computer. Otherwise, please contact your system administrator for assistance. If you are unable to install the Microsoft Office Live Meeting client on your computer, you can still join the meeting if the Use Web Console link appears on the client installation page. The Live Meeting Web-based client connects you to the meeting using your Web browser. You can still attend the meeting, but there are some limitations. The Use Web Console option is only available in meetings scheduled with the Microsoft Office Live Meeting service.
