New
Clinical Features Now Available
ULTRACare's
Clinical Applications now feature more electronic charting features.
The newest of these is the eMAR and eTAR. Behind the scenes, there
are user definable codes that enable the use of these including
the Interval, Side Effects, Med/Treatment Cart, and User Security
Codes. The proper use of these codes will allow you to identify
specific rooms and beds for a med or treatment cart which will then
link to the residents in those locations. ULTRACare will display
the residents in room order for ease of documentation. Electronic
signatures can also be enabled for the MDS and Physicians Orders
in the User Security Codes, requiring the use of a PIN to identify
the user.
There
is much more to tell about how to implement these features and we
have published a document that will help you do so. Follow this

Solace
Update
We
have received notice from Ivertex that they have updated Solace
to import all 3 procedure modifiers for electronic filing. This
update will be available from their site as of July 1, 2006. Use
the 'Web Check' option from your Help menu within Solace to download
updates for either the Desktop or Enterprise versions of Solace.

2006 User Group Conference
The ULTRACare Users' Group Conference is scheduled for September
26 - 28, 2006 at the Portsmouth Renaissance Waterfront Hotel and
Conference Center. This is the same great location we enjoyed for
the 2005 conference - so please mark your calendars now! You can
take a look at the conference center on the internet at http://www.renaissanceportsmouth.com.

Annual Update Released
The annual release of ULTRACare was published on
May 25th - on schedule! Many of you have already installed this
update. If you have not yet done so, you should download the update
and all documentation via our Secure Web Site. This update brings
literally hundreds of new and enhanced features to ULTRACare. We
encourage you to download and review the release notes to see what
our development team has done and how you can benefit from the new
features. And, yes...we're already working on next year's update!

helpful hint about installing software updates: Please read
the entire software release guide before downloading all the program
files. It tells you exactly what you need to do before, during,
and after the download and installation process.
Customers
with a current service agreement should use our Secure Site to download
periodic ULTRACare program updates. We will continue to update the
site monthly - scheduled next for Friday, July 21st.
